Since early 1999 Jeff has been involved in the internet marketing space and has worked for a number of successful startups including StoneAge.com (renamed Car.com and acquired by Autobytel.com in April 2004), LiveDeal.com (online classifieds), and HomeRoute.com (online real estate). In April 2004, he founded SearchSandbox, a Search Engine Marketing consulting company focused on pay per click marketing (Google AdWords, Yahoo! Search Marketing, Microsoft adCenter, and Ask Sponsored Listings) and natural search engine optimization. After three years of managing search for his own firm Jeff decided to merge his passion for the automotive industry and search marketing to create DealerDex.com. DealerDex is a mashup of car dealer microblogs, maps, car dealer reviews, local car deals, and RSS marketing.
