DealerDex LLC may decide to share your personal information with our trusted marketing partners and or automotive dealer’s who work with DealerDex.com under confidentiality agreements. These companies may use your personal information to assist DealerDex.com inform you about their products and services. (See below if you prefer that we not share this information). On occasion DealerDex.com will not be able to directly fulfill your request for new vehicle information, we may forward your request for information to another reputable affiliate partner or auto dealer. At such a time you will become subject to the security and privacy policies that are posted on the associated website. In those cases where DealerDex.com must share your information to get the information you requested, these companies do not have any independent right to share this information. DealerDex.com at time to time will be required to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims. We believe it is necessary to share information in order to prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, any violation of DealerDex LLC’s terms of use, or as otherwise is required by law.
OWNERSHIP OF INFORMATION
Once you have submitted information and it is received in the DealerDex.com database, all submitted information, including your name, e-mail address, home address, phone number, financial and credit information becomes the property of DealerDex LLC. This information may be passed as needed on to our dealer and fulfillment partners, finance partners and affiliates for the execution of the order, service or request. Any information received by our partners is subject to their respective privacy policy on customer information. Our partners use this information to process your order, to approve your credit and to provide valuable services. If you choose to opt out on our website we will not and cannot provide your information to partners, thus being unable to complete your request. If you do not opt out on our website at the initial time of service request, any subsequent requests to opt out of future partner communications must be made directly to the Partner.
WEB SITE SECURITY
DealerDex.com places a very high value on the importance of security for our customers. When necessary we use the latest SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption technology from GoDaddy, Inc. to protect sensitive personal or financial information during data transmission. This allows your personal information to be submitted in a secure environment using the latest encryption technology while reaching the intended parties. This site is intended for the use of adults 18 and over. The forms on this site are capable of collecting online contact information from Minors who furnish it without parental consent or notification.
